NOVELTY - An application of β-manganese dioxide in catalytic formaldehyde dehydrogenation, is claimed. USE - Application of β-manganese dioxide in catalytic formaldehyde dehydrogenation. ADVANTAGE - The method optimizes and controls the crystal form of the transition metal oxide manganese oxide to provide application of β-manganese oxide in catalytic formaldehyde dehydrogenation, enhances the performance of the catalyst, and improves the hydrogen yield. Further, the method uses β-manganese oxide and C together to formaldehyde hydrogen production, which is aqueous phase reaction, the mixed catalyst of β-manganese oxide and C will form slurry liquid, the two-phase catalyst C and β-manganese oxide will collide, the mixed carbon of the collision interface can control the electron distribution of the surface of the β-manganese oxide, which affects the adsorption of the active site to the formaldehyde intermediate, so that the performance of the catalyst is further enhanced.
