NOVELTY - Preparation of layered double hydroxide (LDHs) (thiocarbohydrazide (TC)-chitosan (CHT))-graphene oxide (GO)-maleic anhydride (MA) self repair anti-corrosion coating includes dissolving trisodium phosphate dodecahydrate in deionized water, adding magnesium aluminum layered bimetallic hydroxide without intercalated phosphate ions, mixing, washing with deionized water and ethanol, drying, grinding to obtain powder A, dispersing chitosan into dilute acetic acid solution, adding thiocarbamide, formaldehyde solution and sodium hydroxide solution, mixing, washing with deionized water and ethanol, drying, grinding to obtain powder B, dissolving maleic anhydride in deionized water, adding graphene oxide, mixing to obtain solution C, adding powder A and powder B to solution C for esterification, recording reaction solution as solution D, adding waterbased polyurethane to solution D, adding curing agent after ultrasonic dispersion, spraying on substrate surface to obtain coating and drying. USE - The method is for preparation of LDHs (TC-CHT)-GO MA self repair anti-corrosion coating. ADVANTAGE - The coating increases carboxyl content of modified graphene oxide, is easier to esterificate with modified chitosan and magnesium-aluminum layered bimetallic hydroxide, has stronger anti-corrosion effect, quickly repairs damaged surface after coating is damaged and prolongs service life of coating. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparation of LDHs (TC-CHT)-GO MA self repair anti-corrosion coating comprises dissolving trisodium phosphate dodecahydrate in deionized water at room temperature to obtain saturated solution, adding magnesium aluminum layered bimetallic hydroxide without intercalated phosphate ions, vibrating with ultrasonic for 0.5 hours, mixing with magnetic force for 4 hours under water bath conditions to obtain uniformly dispersed solution, washing product by suction filtration of solution with deionized water and ethanol, drying under vacuum, grinding to powder, recording as powder A, dispersing chitosan into dilute acetic acid solution to obtain viscous solution, adding thiocarbamide, mixing until mixture becomes clear for 1 hour, adding formaldehyde solution, mixing with gel mixture for 12 hours at room temperature, adding sodium hydroxide solution to gel mixture, washing neutralized sediment with deionized water and ethanol, drying, grinding into powder to obtain powder B, weighing maleic anhydride, dissolving in deionized water, adding graphene oxide, mixing at 75 degrees C for 3 hours, mixing at 85 degrees C for 16 hours to obtain solution C, adding powder A and powder B to solution C for esterification, recording reaction solution as solution D, adding 5 pts. wt. waterbased polyurethane to solution D, adding 1 pt. wt. curing agent after ultrasonic dispersion, spraying on substrate surface after ultrasonic dispersion to obtain coating, airing coating at room temperature for 12 hours, drying in 60 degrees C for 4 hours, curing, testing electrochemical properties and salt spray corrosion resistance by electrochemical workstation.
