NOVELTY - A linear hierarchical structure lithium titanate material comprises spinel crystal phase, monoclinic crystal phase or their composite crystal phase as crystal phase, and linear hierarchical structure having aspect ratio of 10 or more, preferably 10-100. The surface structure of the lithium titanate material is nano sheet. The surface of the linear hierarchical structure lithium titanate material is further loaded with carbon, carbon nanotubes, graphene, black phosphorus, metal and/or semiconductor. USE - Linear hierarchical structure lithium titanate material is used for electrode material for ion battery e.g. lithium-ion battery, sodium-ion battery, potassium-ion battery or magnesium-ion battery (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The linear hierarchical structure lithium titanate material has excellent electron migration effect, and large specific surface area, and provides battery having high current density and excellent cycle characteristics. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of the lithium titanate material, which involves preparing linear structure lithium titanate peroxide, subjecting to hydrothermal reaction or solvothermal reaction, obtaining lithium titanate precursor, and annealing.
