NOVELTY - Method for preparing fibrous mesoporous silica grown on surface of graphene oxide, involves (a) adding graphene oxide to deionized water, dispersing, adding surfactant cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) and catalyst urea, stirring, and processing the mixed solution to obtain solution (A), (b) adding n-pentanol to cyclohexane and stirring to obtain solution (B), (c) mixing and adding tetraethyl orthosilicate to react, stirring solution (A) on a stirrer, dripping solution (B) into solution (A), stirring for 5 minutes to obtain a gray mixed solution, adding tetraethyl orthosilicate to the mixed solution, stirring, pouring the mixed solution into the reactor, and reacting, (d) collecting the reaction product by centrifugal separation, washing, and drying in an oven, and (e) adding the product obtained in step (d) to the ethanol solution, stirring, repeating the removal of the template agent CTAB twice, and collecting the powder by centrifugation, washing and drying. USE - The method is useful for preparing fibrous mesoporous silica grown on surface of graphene oxide in adsorption, catalysis and drug release, and phase change material loading applications (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method assembles graphene oxide and fibrous mesoporous silica together, and ensures excellent performance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Method for preparing fibrous mesoporous silica grown on surface of graphene oxide, involves (a) adding graphene oxide to deionized water, ultrasonically uniformly dispersing, adding surfactant cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) and catalyst urea, evenly stirring, and ultrasonically processing the mixed solution for 30-60 minutes to obtain solution (A), where the mass ratio of graphene oxide, CTAB, urea and deionized water is 1:(50-66):(30-40):(3000-4000), (b) adding n-pentanol to cyclohexane and uniformly stirring to obtain solution (B), where the cyclohexane and deionized water in step (a) have the same volume, and the volume ratio of n-pentanol to cyclohexane is 1:(30-35), (c) mixing and adding tetraethyl orthosilicate to react, stirring solution (A) on a stirrer, dripping solution (B) into solution (A), and continuously stirring for 5 minutes to obtain a gray mixed solution, keeping the stirring speed constant, adding tetraethyl orthosilicate to the mixed solution, stirring for 20-40 minutes, pouring the mixed solution into the reactor, and reacting at 120 degrees C for 4 hours, where the volume of tetraethyl orthosilicate used is 1.2 times the volume of n-pentanol used in step (b), (d) collecting the reaction product by centrifugal separation, washing twice with deionized water and absolute ethanol, and drying in an oven, and (e) adding the product obtained in step (d) to the ethanol solution with pH of 1, stirring at 60 degrees C for 2-4 hours, repeating the removal of the template agent CTAB twice, and collecting the powder by centrifugation, washing with deionized water and absolute ethanol for 3 times, and completely drying fibrous mesoporous silica oriented on the surface of graphene oxide to obtain the product.
