NOVELTY - Manufacture of a permeable membrane involves preparing a carbon material dispersion, forming a carbon-based support by using the carbon material dispersion, forming a separation layer on the carbon-based support, and modifying the surface of the separation layer. The modification of the surface of the separation layer involves coating with a polymer containing both polydopamine and/or polyurethane, coating with cationic polyelectrolyte chosen from poly diallyldimethylammonium chloride, polyethyleneimine and poly allylamine hydrochloride, coating with anionic polyelectrolyte chosen from polyacrylic acid, polystyrene sulfonate, and polyvinyl sulfate. USE - Producing selective permeable separation membrane used for chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear protective clothing (claimed) e.g. protective shoes and protective clothing. ADVANTAGE - The method enables manufacture of permeable selective membrane having excellent mechanical properties and chemical durability, with high moisture permeability and low permeability to harmful agents such as chemical agents or biochemical agents.
