NOVELTY - High-performance polylactic acid-based thermoplastic material comprises 50-100 pts. wt. polylactic acid, 5-25 pts. wt. polypropylene, 0.5-6 pts. wt. catalyst, 5-25 pts. wt. polyimide, 0.1-0.5 pts. wt. antioxidant, 2-10 pts. wt. polyurethane, 0.5-6 pts. wt. inorganic filler, 0.1-20 pts. wt. flame retardant and 0.5-3 pts. wt. cross-linking agent. USE - The material is useful in food and beverage tool (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The material has excellent mechanical performance and good toughness, thermal deformation temperature of not less than 110degrees Celsius, tensile strength of more than 75 MPa, flexural strength of more than 90 MPa, flexural modulus of more than 1900 MPa, and impact strength of more than 18 KJ/m2 and improves the compatibility. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing the thermoplastic material, comprising mixing and reacting polylactic acid, polypropylene and catalyst to obtain modified polylactic acid, mixing and reacting the modified polylactic acid, polyimide, antioxidant, flame retardant and polyurethane to obtain a polylactic acid-based material, mixing the polylactic acid-based thermoplastic material with polylactic acid, inorganic filler and cross-linking agent, and extruding and granulating the mixture by a twin-screw extruder.
