▎ 摘  要

NOVELTY - Composite catalyst comprising nanoparticles of metal oxide attached to graphene or reduced graphene oxide platelets, is new, where the metal oxide is doped or decorated, and the decorating or doping material has a concentration of 0.5-20 wt.% relative to the metal oxide. USE - The composite catalyst is useful in: organic synthesis; solar cell; solar generation of hydrogen; synthesis of methanol; and degradation of inorganic and organic pollutants in water and air. ADVANTAGE - The composite catalyst: exhibits excellent photocatalytic activity; and utilizes metal oxide (titanium dioxide) nanoparticles that are attached strongly to both phases of graphene platelets, thus minimizing the risk of the particles to reach vital organ of living objects. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing the composite catalyst.
