NOVELTY - An electrochemical device has an electrode formed using a graphene/ionic-liquid polymer composite in which ionic-liquid polymers are bonded to the surface of graphene. USE - Electrochemical device e.g. fuel cell, capacitor, supercapacitor, ultracapacitor and electrical double layer capacitor (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The electrochemical device has excellent energy density and electrostatic capacitance. The graphene has high specific surface area.
