NOVELTY - Preparation of cupric oxide-nickel nanoparticles/silver nanowire/carbon nanotubes/polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) anode involves preparing PDMS substrate, modifying surface of PDMS substrate with hydrophilic layer, and preparing plastic electrode. USE - Preparation of cupric oxide-nickel nanoparticles/silver nanowire/carbon nanotubes/PDMS anode used for portable fuel cell, power bank, power plants and electric automobile. ADVANTAGE - The plastic electrode has excellent conductivity, catalytic effect, high sensitivity to ethanol, and stable structure. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for application of cupric oxide-nickel nanoparticles/silver nanowire/carbon nanotubes/PDMS anode, which involves using cupric oxide-nickel nanoparticles/silver nanowire/carbon nanotubes/PDMS plastic electrode as working electrode, silver/silver chloride electrode as reference electrode and platinum wire as auxiliary electrode to form three-electrode system, placing three-electrode system in ethanol solution and 1 mol/L potassium hydroxide, supporting electrolyte with pH of 14, setting potential to -0.2-1.2 V, recording cyclic voltammetry curve of 100 mmol/L ethanol with scanning speed range of 20-100 mV/S, and using standard curve method to analyze control process of electrode electrocatalytic oxidation of ethanol solution.
