▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - Preparing antimicrobial nanohybrid structure involves saturating first carrier material with plethora of metallic salt precursors by creating mixture, reacting mixture with reducing agent in presence of surface activated agent to reduce plethora of metallic salts into plethora of metallic nanoparticles and depositing plethora of nanoparticles on first carrier material, coating surface of resultant compound of nanoparticles and first carrier material with organosilane coupling agent, where metallic salt precursor is any hydrolyzable or water-soluble salt that is chemically reduced to metallic nanoparticles with inherent antimicrobial properties. USE - Method for preparing antimicrobial nanohybrid structure used for producing polymer composition (claimed); used as surface coatings, antimicrobial surfacing, food packaging, biomedical, agricultural, air-filtration/cleaning and water filtration/cleaning applications to kill, inhibit, or reduce growth of pathogenic/infectious/contaminating microorganisms and their biofilms. ADVANTAGE - The method helps in preparing antimicrobial nanohybrid structure, which enables to kill, inhibit, or reduce growth of pathogenic/infectious/contaminating microorganisms and their biofilms. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for producing antimicrobial polymer composition, which involves: (A) producing antimicrobial nanohybrid structure; and (B) incorporating, and reinforcing polymer/co-polymer matrix with antimicrobial nanohybrid structures by methods selected from melt blending, shaping, or forming, polymer solution casting, or additive (3D) manufacturing of polymeric/plastic components.
