NOVELTY - Graphene oxide-polyaniline (GO-PANI) nanocomposite comprises (i) 0.005-0.02 weight/volume% GO, and (ii) 0.1-0.4 volume/volume% PANI, where a Fourier transform infrared spectrum comprises bands at 680 plus minus 2 cm-1, 709 plus minus 2 cm-1 , 774 plus minus 2 cm-1 and 806 plus minus 2 cm-1. USE - The nanocomposite is useful for detecting monosaccharides using a sensor or sensing monosaccharides in solution (all claimed). DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) a process (P1) for synthesizing GO-PANI nanocomposite; (2) a sensor; and (3) a process (P2) of detecting the monosaccharides using a sensor.
