NOVELTY - Method for preparing graphene-based silicon-carbon composite material, involves (a) dispersing organic carboxylate, strong alkali and weak acid salt, silicon particles, optional carbon source and positively charged graphene in water, making the organic carboxylate and the strong alkali weak acid salt undergo a condensation reaction after hydrolysis to form a mixed gel crosslinking agent wrapped on the surface of the silicon particles, and simultaneously assembling the gel crosslinking agent and the positively charged graphene together through electrostatic reaction to obtain a graphene-silicon dispersion, (b) spray-drying the graphene-silicon dispersion to obtain a graphene-silicon precursor, and (c) calcining the precursor in an inert environment to carbonize the mixed gel crosslinking agent to obtain a graphene-based silicon-carbon composite material. USE - The method is used for preparing graphene-based silicon-carbon composite material in the preparation of battery, preferably a car battery, and used in the negative electrode material of the battery (all claimed). DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a battery comprising the graphene-based silicon-carbon composite material, where the negative electrode material of the battery includes the graphene-based silicon-carbon composite material.
