NOVELTY - A graphene-like bio-carbon is prepared using Alternanthera philoxeroides by collecting Alternanthera philoxeroides, removing leaf, cleaning, drying, crushing dried Alternanthera philoxeroides, sieving to obtain Alternanthera philoxeroides powder, limiting oxygen pyrolyzing to obtain Alternanthera philoxeroides bio-carbon, mixing with alkali, activating under oxygen-limiting condition, cooling to room temperature, taking out, mixing with 0.09-1.1 M hydrochloric acid, washing using deionized water until pH is not changed, and drying. USE - The graphene-like bio-carbon is used as adsorbent for removing sulfonamides antibiotic in water body (claimed). DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for removing sulfonamides antibiotic using graphene-like bio-carbon prepared by Alternanthera philoxeroides comprising using graphene-like bio-carbon prepared by Alternanthera philoxeroides as adsorbent for removing sulfanilamide antibiotic in water body.
