DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Hyperbranched polytriazole functionalized graphene is formed by modifying graphene surface with aromatic modified hyperbranched polytriazole of formula (I). R=alkynyl, alkynyl group partially substituted with R1; R1=triazole derivative of formula (II); n=not defined; and R2=aromatic group. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing hyperbranched polytriazole functionalized graphene which involves: (A) dissolving 3,5-dihydroxybenzoic acid in methanol ; (B) heating solution to 90-100 degrees C for 12-24 hours in presence of hydrochloric acid as catalyst to obtain first compound; (C) dissolving first compound, 3-bromopropyne and 18-crown ether in acetone; (D) adding potassium carbonate to the mixture; (E) adding first compound and 3-bromopropyne in molar ratio of 1:2-1:6; (F) adding 18-crown-ether and potassium carbonate in molar ratio of 1:110-1:205; (G) heating the reactants at 60-75 degrees C for 24-48 hours to obtain second compound; (H) dissolving second compound and potassium hydroxide in ethanol; (I) heating reactants at 60-75 degrees C for 24-48 hours to obtain third compound; (J) dissolving third compound and 3-azidopropanol in methylene chloride; (K) adding first catalyst and first dehydrating agent; (L) heating to 20-30 degrees C for 24-48 hours to obtain fourth compound; (M) dissolving fourth compound in N,N-dimethylformamide and second catalyst; (N) reacting at 60-75 degrees C for 24-48 hours to obtain hyperbranched poly triazole; (O) dissolving aromatic compound and 3-azidopropanol in methylene chloride; (P) adding third catalyst and third dehydrating agent; (Q) reacting under nitrogen protection at 10-40 degrees C for 24-48 hours to obtain the azide aromatic compound; (R) dissolving hyperbranched polytetrazole and azide aromatic compound in dimethylformamide to obtain hyperbranched molecule; (S) reacting hyperbranched polytriazole and azide aromatic compound for two hours at 60-75 degrees C for 24-48 hours; (T) adding hyperbranched molecule to organic solvent dispersion of graphene oxidel; and (U) reacting at 100-200 degrees C for 24-72 hours to obtain the desired hyperbranched polytriazole functionalized graphene.
