▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - Europium vanadate (EV)/fluorine doped graphene (FG24) photocatalyst comprises EV nanoparticles immobilized on FG24. USE - The photocatalyst is useful for removing biotic and abiotic pollutants present in water, and wastewater treatment (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The photocatalyst: exhibits high surface area and dispersion of EV/FG24 (the zeta potential of EV/FG24 is -22 mV at pH 7 and can attain the value of -29 mV at pH 12); enables 89%, 95%, 97%, 99% and 100% decrease in the cell viability of Escherichia coli, Bacillus subtilis, Pseudomonas fluorescens, Staphylococcus aureus and Salmonella enterica bacteria under visible light; is reusable (claimed); utilizes EV/FG24 that exhibits significant recycle efficiency during photocatalytic process; has great potential; allows for phenolic compound degradation and photocatalytic removal of food bacteria; and has synergistic effect on mineralization process. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing EV/FG24 photocatalyst, comprising (a) preparing FG24 by sonochemical exfoliation, and (b) immobilizing EV nanoparticles on FG24 to prepare EV/FG24 photocatalyst.
