NOVELTY - Preparation of graphene-supported cerium oxide-rubber composite material involves dissolving graphene oxide in water, obtaining graphene solution with concentration of 0.1-2 mg/ml, dissolving cerium nitrate in water, adding resultant cerium nitrate solution to graphene oxide solution, stirring, adjusting pH to 8-14 using aqueous ammonia, calcining at 80-220 degrees C for 8-48 hours, cooling, washing with water and ethanol, drying at 60-100 degrees C for 20-30 hours, obtaining graphene-supported cerium oxide, mixing resultant product and natural rubber-styrene butadiene rubber, and vulcanizing. USE - Preparation of graphene-supported cerium oxide-rubber composite material used in preparation of radiation-shield cover (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables preparation of graphene-supported cerium oxide-rubber composite material having improved electron transfer rate, excellent electromagnetic shielding effect, aging resistance, mechanical property, flexibility and oxidation resistance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparation of graphene-supported cerium oxide-rubber composite material involves dissolving graphene oxide in water, obtaining graphene solution with concentration of 0.1-2 mg/ml, dissolving cerium nitrate in water, adding resultant cerium nitrate solution to graphene oxide solution, stirring for 60-210 minutes, leaving still at room temperature for 10-15 hours, adjusting pH to 8-14 using aqueous ammonia, adding resultant product to a hydrothermal synthesis reactor, calcining at 80-220 degrees C for 8-48 hours, cooling to room temperature, washing with water and ethanol, drying at 60-100 degrees C for 20-30 hours, obtaining graphene-supported cerium oxide, mixing resultant product and natural rubber-styrene butadiene rubber, and vulcanizing in a flat vulcanizing machine. The mass ratio of cerium nitrate and graphene oxide is 40-60:1.
