NOVELTY - Preparing hollow silicon carbide micro-bead involves (a) mixing layered graphene with silica sol, adding ethanol aqueous solution, mixing to obtain a mixed sol, (b) adding aqueous ammonia to form an alcohol gel, (c) adding an aging agent, a modifying agent and a solvent replacing medium, performing aging treatment, modifying treatment and solvent replacement treatment, (d) using a jet mill to crush a fine particle gas gel, and using a spherical shaping machine to process the fine particle gel to prepare a gas-gel using coating agent, drying, curing and carbonizing to prepare porous graphite micro beads, (e) mixing the silicon powder with the porous graphitic micro beads and sintering in a silica sintered furnace, and (f) using the spherical molding machine to prepare the hollow silica micro beads. USE - The method for preparing hollow silicon carbide micro-bead is used for preparing bullet-proof armor in military ship, preferably preparing ultra-light aluminum alloy applied to aircraft. ADVANTAGE - The method enables to prepare hollow silicon carbide micro-bead that has excellent compression strength, density and tensile strength, and is easy to control the shape of the microsphere, and has high compression strength and density.
