NOVELTY - Preparing low volatile organic compounds (VOC) composite plastic for automotive interior containing graphene, comprises (a) grinding graphite oxide and adding deionized water to prepare aqueous graphite oxide solution, (b) adding crosslinking agent to aqueous solution of graphite oxide, adding surface treated nano-diatomite and performing dispersion treatment by mechanical stirring and ultrasonic vibration to obtain uniform mixed liquid, (c) placing mixed liquid in a hydrothermal reaction vessel and obtaining graphene/nano diatomaceous earth wet gel by reaction, (d) freeze-drying graphene/nano diatomaceous earth wet gel to obtain graphene/nano diatomite composite aerogel and (e) using graphene/nano diatomite composite aerogel as an adsorption filler, surface-treating with vinyl triethoxysilane and then with polycarbonate (PC) resin, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) resin, antioxidant and mixing lubricant and extruding by twin-screw extruder to obtain low VOC composite. USE - The process is useful for preparing a low VOC composite plastic for automotive interior containing graphene (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method : produces composite aerogel with extremely high adsorption efficacy, which can significantly reduces VOC content of the material and exhibits high strength and durability. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing a low VOC composite plastic for automotive interior containing graphene, comprises (a) grinding graphite oxide and adding deionized water to prepare an aqueous graphite oxide solution, (b) adding a crosslinking agent to the aqueous solution of graphite oxide obtained in step (a), adding the surface treated nano-diatomite and performing dispersion treatment by mechanical stirring and ultrasonic vibration to obtain a uniform mixed liquid, (c) placing the mixed liquid prepared in step (b) in a hydrothermal reaction vessel and obtaining a graphene/nano diatomaceous earth wet gel by the reaction, (d) freeze-drying the graphene/nano diatomaceous earth wet gel obtained in the step (c) to obtain a graphene/nano diatomite composite aerogel and (e) using the graphene/nano diatomite composite aerogel prepared in the step (d) as an adsorption filler, surface-treating with vinyl triethoxysilane and then with PC resin, ABS resin, antioxidant and mixing the lubricant and extruding by a twin-screw extruder to obtain a low VOC composite. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a graphene-containing low VOC composite plastic for automotive interiors prepared by the method.
