NOVELTY - Modified cable material comprises 8-15 pts. wt. ceramic particles, 0.001- 0.003 pts. wt. graphene, 3-6 pts. wt. modifier, 10-25 pts. wt. low degree of polymerization polyethylene, 35-55 pts. wt. high degree of polymerization of polyethylene, 0.3-0.8 pts. wt. coupling agent, 0.1-0.3 pts. wt. crosslinking agent. The modifier is a mixture of polyethylene wax emulsion and polyvinylidene fluoride emulsion. The low degree of polymerization of polyethylene is a polyethylene having a degree of polymerization of 100-300. USE - Modified cable material. ADVANTAGE - The modified cable material has improved wear resistance, good processability and increased cable life in high wear environments. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing polyethylene modified cable material, which involves: (A) treating ceramic particles with a coupling agent; (B) coating coupling agent-treated ceramic particles with a modifier and drying; (C) mixing dried ceramic particles with graphene, low degree of polymerization polyethylene, high degree of polymerization polyethylene, and cross-linking agent; and (D) extruding the mixture through an extruder to obtain a modified cable material.
