NOVELTY - The device (10A) has a substrate (11), and a graphene layer (15) which is provided on the substrate. A pair of electrodes is connected to the graphene layer. A resin layer (25) is configured to cover a light receiving region (155) of the graphene layer and is transparent to the light to be detected. The resin layer is SU-8 photoresist. USE - Optical sensor device e.g. graphene-based optical sensor device applied to automatic doors, surveillance cameras, infrastructure inspections. ADVANTAGE - The optical sensor device has both weather resistance and sensitivity. The absorption of light can be enhanced.
