NOVELTY - An electrocatalytic material comprises a conductive carrier and an active component supported on the conductive carrier having a honeycomb-like porous structure. USE - Electrocatalytic material used in electrolysis of water for hydrogen production (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The electrocatalytic material has good catalytic performance, can effectively reduce the electrocatalyst cost, and has good electrocatalysis performance even under the condition that the active component content is low. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of the electrocatalytic material which involves (S1) prepare a conductive carrier with a honeycomb-like porous structure by alkali metal chemical method, alcohol-alkali solvothermal method and/or graphene oxide method, (S2) contacting the conductive carrier with the salt solution containing the active component, taking out the solid, and performing drying (I) and calcining (I) to obtain the electrocatalytic material, or subjecting an ion exchange resin containing the active metal ions to a calcining (II) at a high temperature in an inert atmosphere. The active metal ions are metal ions in the active component.
