NOVELTY - Method for detecting nucleic acid, involves preparing a sample comprising target nucleic acid, adding and mixing complementary peptide nucleic acid (PNA) probe to sample comprising target nucleic acid and fluorescent substance, and adding oxidized graphene to obtained mixture. USE - The method is useful for detecting nucleic acid, preferably single-stranded nucleic acid or double-stranded nucleic acid, more preferably DNA or RNA (all claimed). DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for detection kit which comprises fluorescent material, solution of oxidized graphene, and PNA probes.
