NOVELTY - Use of metal aerogel catalytic material for preparing anion ion membrane electrolytic cell electro-catalytic reduction carbon dioxide (CO2) reaction. The method comprises (i) respectively dissolving metal precursor and reducing agent in ultra-pure water, fresh prepared reducing agent aqueous solution, rapidly adding metal precursor solution, and continuously stirring, allowing to stand at room temperature, aging to obtain hydrogel, then freezing and drying to obtain metal aerogel catalytic material for anionic membrane electrolytic cell, adding metal gas gel or composite material containing metal gas gel to alcohol organic solvent containing Nafion (Sulfonated tetrafluoroethylene) solution to form uniform catalyst ink, using the cathode flow field i.e. directly introducing dry CO2 as raw material into the cathode of the gas transmission layer, gaseous CO2, liquid electrolyte and solid catalyst of the three-phase interface CO2 reduction reaction. USE - The metal aerogel catalytic material is useful for preparing anion ion membrane electrolytic cell electro-catalytic reduction carbon dioxide reaction (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The metal aerogel catalytic material: has excellent catalytic activity of electro-catalysis reducing CO2 reaction, has three-dimensional structure of the catalyst that avoids agglomeration of catalyst and inactivation caused by corrosion poisoning and forms cathode gas diffusion electrode using the catalyst with high Faraday efficiency and current density.
