NOVELTY - Producing silver-coated carbon electrode, comprises (a) preparing carbon powder, (b) immersing the carbon powder in a solution containing silver ions, (c) adding a base solution to the mixed solution, and filtering, (d) heating and drying the filtrate, and (e) preparing an electrode using the silver coated carbon powder. The carbon powder is activated carbon, graphene, carbon nanotubes, and/or carbon fibers. The silver ions is silver nitrate, silver chloride, silver sulfate, and/or silver hydroxide. The base solution is sodium hydroxide, ammonium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide and/or sodium carbonate. USE - The method is useful for producing silver-coated carbon electrode. ADVANTAGE - The method enables to manufacture silver-coated carbon electrode having excellent desalting capacity and charge efficiency. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for silver-coated carbon electrode manufactured by the above method.
