NOVELTY - Diaphragm comprises sulfonated siloxane-based graphene aerogel. The sulfonated siloxane-based graphene aerogel includes graphene oxide, a siloxane group bridging the graphene oxide, and a sulfonic acid group. The siloxane group is represented by (I). USE - Diaphragm used for lithium-sulfur battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The diaphragm has high strength and elastic modulus, has good interface compatibility with electrolyte, high electronic insulation, good flexibility, easy processing, good thermal stability, effectively block the shuttle of polysulfides, and improves battery performance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Diaphragm comprises sulfonated siloxane-based graphene aerogel. The sulfonated siloxane-based graphene aerogel includes graphene oxide, a siloxane group bridging the graphene oxide, and a sulfonic acid group. The siloxane group is represented by formula (I) R=2-5C alkylene group and is connected to the sulfonic acid group. . An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing the diaphragm, which involves: (A) preparing a dispersion of graphene oxide; (B) adding a silane coupling agent containing a mercapto group to the dispersion liquid and stirring to form a mercaptoated graphene hydrogel; (C) drying the thiolated graphene hydrogel and placing in a solution containing an oxidant; and (D) oxidizing the sulfhydryl group to the sulfonic acid group to obtain the sulfonated siloxane-based graphene hydrogel.
