NOVELTY - An electrochemical double layer capacitor comprises an electrolyte, a separator provided between collectors and 1 or more aluminum mesh current collectors having deposits of nanosized graphite chosen from nanosized graphene nanotube, nanosized graphene nanoplatelets and carbon. USE - Electrochemical double layer capacitor (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The electrochemical double layer capacitor has high conductivity, low density, and high stability at high voltage. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) process for preparing electrode, which involves providing carbon slurry comprising nanosized graphene and carbon in solvent, filtering slurry to separate solvent, providing a wet sheet form, mounting wet sheet form on aluminum mesh substrate, calendaring and drying wet sheet form to predetermined thickness, porosity and surface finish; and (2) wet carbon paper.
