NOVELTY - A flame retardant soft PVC material comprises 100 pts. wt. graphite, 80-100 pts. wt. PVC, 3-5 pts. wt. titanium dioxide, 10-20 pts. wt. tricresyl phosphate, 1-3 pts. wt. molybdenum disulfide, 20-40 pts. wt. cobalt silicate, 2-4 pts. wt. organic tin, 3-7 pts. wt. nano hydrotalcite, 0.6-1 pt. wt. zinc hydroxystannate and 0.2-2.5 pts. wt. liquid paraffin. USE - Flame retardant soft PVC material (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The PVC material has excellent flame retardant performance, self-extinguishing property, Vicat softening point of 110-120 degrees C, flexural strength of 45-65 MPa, cold-cracking resistance, breaking elongation of 150-350%, tensile strength of 25-45 MPa, oxygen index of 36-40%, and excellent mechanical property. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of the PVC material, which involves stirring the raw materials at 30 degrees C for 80 minutes, kneading the mixture at 110 degrees C, melting, plasticizing and pelletizing the kneaded mixture in a twin-screw extruder.
