NOVELTY - Preparing single-layer graphene film comprises (1) preparing second-order graphite intercalation compound by mixing anhydrous ferric chloride with graphite by molten salt method, oxidizing second-order graphene intercalation compound and intercalating by oxidant and concentrated acid, cleaning, and stripping the carbon layer using excess hydrogen peroxide to obtain single-sided selective graphene oxide, (2) ultrasonic dispersing single-sided selective graphene oxide material in mixed solution of water and alcohol, adding oleyl or oleic acid, heating without stirring to obtain single-sided selective lipophilic graphene, and (3) placing single-sided selective lipophilic graphene material in organic solvent, using its unique oleophilic and oleophobic property, contacting the oleophobic surface with the air, and lipophilic surface with the solution, dispersing single-sided selective lipophilic graphene at the gas-liquid interface, and self-assembles into single-layer graphene film. USE - The single-layer graphene film is useful for preparing fine structure, molecular devices, as three-dimensional aerogel for super oil absorption materials. ADVANTAGE - The method: is simple and suitable for industrial or laboratory operation; requires low cost equipment.
