NOVELTY - Preparing graphene oxide quantum dot comprises (1) placing carbon fiber in glass or quartz vessel, adding water to submerge the carbon fiber, transferring vessel containing water and carbon fiber to microwave oven, and performing microwave irradiation for certain period of time; (2) filtering the substances in the vessel to remove unreacted carbon fibers and small amount of carbon debris, where the filtrate is first graphene oxide quantum dot solution; (3) separating first graphene oxide quantum dot solution by dialysis method to obtain graphene oxide nanosheet solution and second graphene oxide quantum dot solution, where inside of the dialysis bag is a graphene oxide nanosheet solution, and the outside of the dialysis bag is a second graphene oxide quantum dot solution; and drying second graphene oxide quantum dot solution to obtain graphene oxide quantum dot powder. USE - The method is useful for preparing graphene oxide quantum dot. ADVANTAGE - The method: is simple, does not use any chemical reagents, and environmentally friendly. The graphene oxide quantum dot: has monoatomic layer structure, and the oxygen-containing group is mainly epoxy group and ether bond; and has independent dual fluorescence emission center and self-assembly capability to form plurality of microstructures.
