NOVELTY - Preparation of nano-magnesium oxide-graphene-polypropylene composite fiber, involves (i) immersing nano-magnesium oxide in acetone solution of gamma -mercaptopropyltriethoxysilane, rinsing with ethanol, drying, then immersing in carboxylated graphene oxide dispersion, stirring, drying, reducing in helium vapor to obtain nano-magnesium oxide modified graphene, (ii) dissolving titanium trichloride in ethanol, heating, stirring, adding nano-magnesium oxide modified graphene, cooling, filtering and drying to obtain titanium trichloride-loaded nano-magnesium oxide-graphene. USE - Preparation of nano-magnesium oxide-graphene-polypropylene composite fiber for wearing application. ADVANTAGE - The nano-magnesium oxide-graphene-polypropylene composite fiber has high strength, excellent antistatic property and flame retardance, smooth fiber surface and has no burr. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparation of nano-magnesium oxide-graphene-polypropylene composite fiber, involves (i) immersing nano-magnesium oxide in acetone solution of gamma -mercaptopropyltriethoxysilane, rinsing with ethanol, then taking out and drying, then immersing nano-magnesium oxide in carboxylated graphene oxide dispersion, stirring evenly, drying, then thoroughly reducing the dried product in helium vapor to obtain nano-magnesium oxide modified graphene, (ii) dissolving titanium trichloride in ethanol, heating and stirring, adding nano-magnesium oxide modified graphene to ethanol solution of titanium trichloride, cooling, when a solid precipitates, filtering, drying the precipitated solid to obtain titanium trichloride-loaded nano-magnesium oxide-graphene, (iii) adding titanium trichloride-loaded nano-magnesium oxide-graphene and triethylaluminum to hexane, ultrasonically dispersing to obtain additive solution, (iv) dissolving propylene monomer in hexane, adding additive solution, and carrying out solvent polymerization, deliming, carrying out centrifugal filtration, airflow boiling, drying and pressurized granulation to obtain nano-magnesium oxide-graphene-polypropylene composite masterbatch, (v) spinning nano-magnesium oxide-graphene-polypropylene composite masterbatch according to existing melt spinning process to obtain nano-magnesium oxide-graphene-polypropylene composite fiber.
