NOVELTY - Catalytic reduction of graphene oxide comprises synthesizing graphene oxide by Hummer method, adding graphene oxide in deionized water, ultrasonic dispersing; adding 0.1-1 mL 10-5 to 10-1 mol/L aqueous solution of metal salt to form brown flocculent suspension solution; adding 0.1-1 ml 1-100 mg/ml ammonia borane, suspending in solution to get black precipitates; and centrifuging black precipitates, washing with 0.1-10 ml 1-10% hydrochloric acid, washing for 3-6 times, black precipitate of metallic particles, washing with deionized water for 3-6 times and freeze-drying. USE - Method for catalytically reducing graphene oxide (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method avoids hydration using hydrazine and its derivative with strong toxicity, volatility and corrosion property, and operates under mild reaction condition. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Catalytic reduction of graphene oxide comprises synthesizing graphene oxide by Hummer method, adding 1 mg graphene oxide in 0.5-10 ml deionized water, ultrasonic dispersing at 50 W to get 0.01-2 mg/ml aqueous graphene oxide solution; adding 0.1-1 mL 10-5 to 10-1 mol/L aqueous solution of metal salt to form brown flocculent suspension solution; adding 0.1-1 ml 1-100 mg/ml ammonia borane, suspending in solution to get black precipitates; and centrifuging black precipitates, washing with 0.1-10 ml 1-10% hydrochloric acid, washing for 3-6 times, black precipitate of metallic particles, washing with deionized water for 3-6 times and freeze-drying.
