NOVELTY - A graphene oxide aerogel is obtained by assembling graphene oxide sheets into a three-dimensional net structure in an edge joint manner through a crosslinking agent. The crosslinking agent is divalent or more than divalent metal ions, protonated primary amine, secondary amine or tertiary amine. USE - Graphene oxide aerogel is used as impact-resistant material, dye adsorption material, heavy metal ion adsorption material, gas absorption material and electrode material (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The graphene oxide aerogel has excellent physical and chemical performance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) preparation of graphene oxide aerogel, which involves preparing graphene oxide water solution, adding alkaline solution to colloidal solution to adjust pH value to be alkaline in the graphene oxide water solution, uniformly mixing, adding metal hydroxide or metal carbonate, or with primary amine, dispersing, adding ester compound and secondary or tertiary amine functional group to the solution, dispersing, and drying; and (2) usage of graphene oxide aerogel, which is used as impact-resistant material, dye adsorption material, heavy metal ion adsorption material, gas absorption material and electrode material.
