NOVELTY - Preparing cathode material of ion capacitor comprises (i) uniformly mixing the metaphosphate and the carbon-based cathode material, then coating carbon-based cathode material by solid phase method, preparing active material, then mixing the active material with the conductive agent, bonding agent and current collector, preparing into cathode material, and (ii) assembling the cathode material and the diaphragm, electrolyte and lithium sheet into button-type half battery, pre-embedding the electrochemical method of metal element with small-rate current to obtain the cathode material of the ion capacitor. USE - The method is useful for preparing ion capacitor cathode material. ADVANTAGE - The method enables preparing the ion capacitor cathode material with high cycle stability, high coulomb efficiency and high capacitor energy density. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: (1) ion capacitor cathode material; and (2) using of cathode material of the ion capacitor.
