NOVELTY - Modified molybdenum oxide (I), is new. USE - The modified molybdenum oxide is useful in anode of zinc ion battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method has simple operation, wide raw material source, low cost, safe and non-toxic and environmentally friendly, and is easy to produce in large scale. The modified molybdenum oxide changes the shape and structure of the sample, introduces the defect, improves the conductivity of sample, provides more active sites for transmission of the zinc ion, and effectively improves the capacitance performance and cycle life of the molybdenum oxynitride. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Modified molybdenum oxide of formula (MoOx) (I), comprising the phase of molybdenum dioxide, is new. x = 2-3. INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: preparing modified molybdenum oxide; anode of zinc ion battery, comprising anode active material which is modified molybdenum oxide; and zinc ion battery, comprising anode of zinc ion battery.
