NOVELTY - Purification of graphene oxide involves subjecting an aqueous graphene oxide solution produced using acid and heavy metal oxidizing agent to phase separation using an organic solvent. USE - Purification of graphene oxide. Uses include but are not limited to engineering plastics, organic synthesis catalyst, graphene oxide-metal complex, and graphene oxide-polymer composite. ADVANTAGE - The method enables efficient purification of graphene oxide with high quality and reduced generation of acidic wastewater, by simple, fast, economical, and environmentally-friendly process.
