NOVELTY - The graphene microspheres are formed by folding single-layer graphene sheet with size of 100 nm to 100 mu m. The microspheres have diameter of 100 nm to 5 mu m, density of 0.04-0.1 g/cm3, specific surface area of 10-1000 m2/g, and carbon/oxygen ratio of 6-100. USE - Graphene microspheres for solar absorber. ADVANTAGE - The graphene microspheres have wide optical absorption frequency, high light absorption rate, and low energy consumption, and are prepared by simple and industrial process. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation method of graphene microspheres, which involves (1) spraying and drying single-layer graphene oxide dispersion with size of 100 nm to 100 mu m to obtain graphene oxide microspheres, where the concentration of the graphene oxide in the dispersion is 0.1-2 mg/ml, (2) mixing the graphene oxide microspheres with hydroiodic acid and reducing agent, and steam reducing at 90-120 degrees C for 2-20 hours, and (3) heat-treating the reduced graphene oxide microspheres under protection of inert gas at 120-330 degrees C for 1-24 hours.
