NOVELTY - Preparing graphene oxide modified aqueous fireproof paint comprises mixing 20-40 pts. wt. graphene oxide modified acrylic emulsion, 30-60 pts. wt. intumescent flame retardant, 0.1-10 pts. wt. first neutralizer, 2-20 pts. wt. co-solvent, 0.1-10 pts. wt. dispersant, 0.1-10 pts. wt. wetting agent, 10-20 pts. wt. pigment filler and stirring, where the graphene oxide-modified acrylic emulsion is prepared by stirring concentrated sulfuric acid, graphite, solid sodium nitrate and potassium permanganate in an ice-water bath at not greater than 20 degrees C, heating to 35 degrees C, maintaining the stirring state and adding proper amount of de-ionized water and hydrogen peroxide to reduce the residual oxidant to obtain solvent which is bright yellow, reacting for 5-10 minutes, adding 5-25% of the monomer emulsion, stirring and reacting and the first initiator solution includes 0.5-3 pts. wt. initiator and 10-30 pts. wt. water and adding defoaming agent and second neutralizing agent to adjust pH 7-8. USE - The method is useful for preparing graphene oxide modified aqueous fireproof paint. ADVANTAGE - The method improves the dispersibility of graphene and compatibility with other base materials, enhances the strength of the carbon layer after the coating is burned and achieves the purposes of flame retardance and smoke suppression. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing graphene oxide modified aqueous fireproof paint comprises mixing 20-40 pts. wt. graphene oxide modified acrylic emulsion, 30-60 pts. wt. intumescent flame retardant, 0.1-10 pts. wt. first neutralizer, 2-20 pts. wt. co-solvent, 0.1-10 pts. wt. dispersant and 0.1-10 pts. wt. wetting agent, 10-20 pts. wt. pigment filler and stirring, where the graphene oxide-modified acrylic emulsion is prepared by stirring concentrated sulfuric acid, graphite, solid sodium nitrate and potassium permanganate in an ice-water bath at not greater than 20 degrees C, heating to 35 degrees C, maintaining the stirring state and adding proper amount of de-ionized water and hydrogen peroxide to reduce the residual oxidant to obtain solvent which is bright yellow, filtering the solvent while hot, washing with hydrochloric acid solution and de-ionized water until no sulfate is detected in the filtrate and drying the filtrate to obtain graphene oxide, stirring 10-50 pts. wt. methyl methacrylate, 10-40 pts. wt. butyl acrylate, 5-10 pts. wt. methacrylic acid, 5-10 pts. wt. graphene oxide, 80-100 pts. wt. dehydrating agent, 20-40 pts. wt. esterification reaction catalyst according to the mass ratio to chemically graft acrylic monomers on the surface of graphene oxide to form graphene oxide-graft-acrylic acid, recording as G-AA and dispersing G-AA in water to form an aqueous solution, stirring 500-550 pts. wt. methyl methacrylate, 400-450 pts. wt. butyl acrylate, 10-30 pts. wt. methacrylic acid, graphene oxide-g-acrylic acid aqueous solution, 75-90 pts. wt. anionic emulsifier, 1-5 pts. wt. non-ionic emulsifier and 200-250 pts. wt. water and mix into monomer emulsion, uniformly mixing 10-20 pts. wt. anionic emulsifier, 1-5 pts. wt. reactive emulsifier, 0.1-5 pts. wt. pH adjuster and 350-450 pts. wt. water according to the mass ratio into an initial material, heating the initial material to 75-85 degrees C, adding the first initiator solution, reacting for 5-10 minutes, adding 5-25% of the monomer emulsion, stirring and reacting and the first initiator solution includes 0.5-3 pts. wt. initiator and 10-30 pts. wt. water, dropping the remaining monomer emulsion and the second initiator solution simultaneously after the exothermic reaction is stable, maintaining the reaction temperature at 75-85 degrees C, completing the dropwise addition at 1.5-2.5 hours and the second initiator solution includes 1-5 pts. wt. initiator and 100-150 pts. wt. water, allowing to stand for 1-1.5 hours, cooling to 0-70 degrees C and slowly adding 0.1-2 pts. wt. oxidant, reacting for 15-30 minutes, cooling to 30-50 degrees C and adding defoaming agent and second neutralizing agent to adjust pH 7-8. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for graphene oxide modified aqueous fireproof paint, prepared by the above method.
