NOVELTY - Preparation of sulfur aggregate material involves mixing sublimated sulfur powder and imidazole organic substance according to preset mass ratio, transferring to a sealed container, continuously stirring the reaction at preset temperature for preset period of time, and mechanically pulverizing to obtain a powdered material. USE - Preparation of sulfur aggregate material used for preparing lithium-sulfur battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The preparation method has characteristics of low equipment requirement and simple process, and the prepared sulfur aggregate material is high-sulfur organic compound, and has chemical bond between the sulfur and the imidazole ring structure, which makes it have the characteristics of high reversible capacity of lithium storage when used as a positive electrode material for lithium-sulfur battery and can reduce production of soluble lithium polysulfide and improve battery capacity, rate performance, cycle life and capacity retention rate. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for application of the sulfur aggregate material in preparation of lithium-sulfur battery, which involves: (a) preparing the sulfur aggregate material together with a binder and a conductive agent to form a positive electrode, which is used for assembling the lithium-sulfur battery.
