NOVELTY - The structural component (10) has a structural element (1), and a closed coolant channel (3) for conducting a coolant fluid. A coolant inlet and a coolant outlet are provided for connecting the coolant channel to an external coolant circuit. The structural element and/or the coolant channel has regions consisting of a polymer interspersed with carbon elements. The carbon elements are carbon particles, graphene and/or in particular aligned carbon fibers and/or nanotubes. USE - Structural component for air baffle, spoiler, floor baffle, monocoque, crash element, side element, side skirt, air intake unit, radiator grille, car chassis structure, and aircraft fuselage of airplane wing or rocket stage, of vehicle (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The cooling capacity is increased or maintained such that no visible adjustments to the outer vehicle geometry are necessary.
