NOVELTY - Active cathode doped with graphene comprises cathode coating solution coated on the surface of pretreated nickel metal substrate, the cathode coating solution contains graphene and antimony trichloride, mixed solution of nickel chloride and chloroplatinic acid, pH adjusting solution is hydrochloric acid, where the coated nickel metal is pyrolyzed until the weight gain of the metal oxide on the surface of the nickel metal reaches 5-30 g/m2. USE - Used as active cathode doped with graphene. ADVANTAGE - The active cathode is suitable for chlor-alkali ion exchange membrane electrolyzers; reduces single-machine energy consumption; improves machine productivity; and has good stability and longer life of industrial use. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing active cathode doped with graphene comprising pre-treating metal substrate and doping cathode coating solution with graphene and pretreatment metal, coating surface with a cathode coating solution and carrying out thermal decomposition treatment.
