▎ 摘 要

NOVELTY - A battery (100) comprises an anodic electrode (106); a cathodic electrode (108); and an electrolyte material (110) positioned between and in contact with the anodic and cathodic electrodes. The anodic and cathodic electrode(s) comprises graphene nano-ribbons including carbon atoms comprising sp2 hybridized carbon. The graphene nano-ribbons are adjacent to and/or in contact with the anodic and cathodic electrode(s), and aligned with one another. USE - Battery for electronic applications, e.g. hearing aids, laptops, cell phones or hand-held electronic devices, or for military, automotive, or aerospace applications. ADVANTAGE - The battery has greater cycle life and improved performance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for: (1) a method comprising de-intercalating ions from aligned carbon nano-ribbons in an anode; passing the ions through an electrolyte and microporous membrane (112) separator; and intercalating the ions in aligned carbon nano-ribbons in a cathode; and (2) a method for making an electrochemical battery comprising providing two conductive and/or semi-conductive substrates; forming graphene nano-ribbons on the conductive and/or semi-conductive substrates; and positioning a membrane separator and an electrolyte between the two conductive and/or semi-conductive substrates. DESCRIPTION OF DRAWING(S) - The drawing shows a cross-sectional view of a battery. Battery (100) Current collectors (102, 104) Electrodes (106, 108) Ionic liquid electrolyte (110) Membrane (112)
