NOVELTY - Composite material comprises 1 pts. wt. expanded graphite, 4-6 pts. wt. potassium permanganate, 60-75 pts. wt. concentrated sulfuric acid, 20-25 pts. wt. concentrated nitric acid, 160-200 pts. wt. deionized water and 10-30 pts. wt. hydrogen peroxide. USE - Composite material used for acicular nanometer alumina/graphene oxide/epoxy composites. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing acicular composite material, which involves: (A) taking 1 g of expanded graphite and placing in 75mL of concentrated sulfuric acid and 25mL of concentrated nitric acid mixed solution, adding 5-8 g of potassium permanganate after the reaction under ice-cooling for 1 hour; (B) placing expanded graphite is placed in water bath at 35 degrees C for the oxide intercalation for 2 hours; (C) adding deionized water, sulfuric and nitric acid in a mixed solution of 2-fold, and the reaction temperature is raised to 98 degrees C for 1 hour; (D) adding hydrogen peroxide; (E) centrifuging at pH 7, drying and grinding to obtain a powder of graphite oxide, adding to the solvent to ultrasonic treatment for 3 to 4 hours, the use of ultrasound to achieve peeling graphene oxide and obtaining the graphene oxide powder; (F) adding concentration of H + in solution is less than 0.4 mol/L and mixing raw material with distilled water to prepare a solution A, equipped with a concentration of 0.025 mol/L solution A three bottles of dropping 1 mol/L with alkaline solution B, and adding the basic solution B of 6 drops/min rate of titration and adding prepare a solution with a floc precipitation, measured pH is between 4-6 titration is stopped; (G) placing floc precipitated solution in the reaction vessel is not more than 80% of the volume of the closed high-pressure reactor, a hydrothermal reaction, extracting at 200 degrees C and after 24-48 hours incubation conditions, leaching of deionized water, washing, and drying to obtain after the hydrothermal boehmite precursor; (H) placing prepared hydrothermal post precursor in a crucible in muffle furnace and heating at 5-10 degrees C/minute at 600 degrees C for 3-6 hours and then removing and natural cooling to obtain a nano-alumina powder having a needle-like morphology and crystal form; and (I) adding modified graphene oxide and alumina nano-needles, adding certain wt.% epoxy resin matrix, to obtain a nano-aluminum oxide/graphene/epoxy composites.
