NOVELTY - Lithium-sulfur electrochemical cell comprises cathode including multiple regions each defined by two or more core-shell structures adjacent to and in contact with each other, an anode positioned opposite to the cathode and an electrolyte including a ternary solvent package, the electrolyte interspersed throughout the cathode and in contact with the anode. USE - Lithium-sulfur electrochemical cell. ADVANTAGE - The lithium-sulfur electrochemical cell has improved performance and cyclability.
