NOVELTY - A polymer-grafted graphene is formed by polymerizing one or more monomers containing functional groups and benzene rings. The functional group is chosen from carboxylic group, carbonyl chloride group, carbonyl bromide group and amide group. USE - Polymer-grafted graphene is used for film and fiber (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The polymer-grafted graphene can be manufactured efficiently with excellent dispersibility, and reduced damage. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) manufacture of graphene, which involves reacting monomer containing benzene ring in reaction medium containing polyphosphate and phosphorus pentoxide; (2) graphene film; and (3) graphene fiber.
