NOVELTY - The improved graphene based security thread has a dimensionally stable carrier film (1). A graphene nano-platelets inks (2) is coated/printed over the carrier film. A U.V curable lacquer/Graphene is based lacquer (3) coated over the graphene nano-platelets inks layer. The liquid crystal film (4) is coated over the U.V curable lacquer/graphene based lacquer layer. The polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film (1A) is laminated over the Liquid crystal film. The graphene nano-platelets inks forms a robust and complex security feature with adhesion value greater then carbon based black ink and with increased electro conductivity and prevents corrosion by eliminating the use of metallic material. USE - Graphene nano-platelets-based security thread for use in banknote for protecting banknote from counterfeiting.
