NOVELTY - Preparation of graphene/silicon dioxide-polypyrrole composite material comprises mixing graphene/silicon dioxide composite material into water and sonicating; adding pyrrole ice bath condition and stirring; adding ammonium persulfate solution, stirring, and adding acetone; and filtering, washing, drying, grinding, and sieving. USE - Method for preparing graphene/silicon dioxide-polypyrrole composite material used as adsorbent for processing hexavalent chromium waste water (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The composite material has simple preparation method and large adsorbing capacity and reduces hexavalent chromium to trivalent chromium. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for use method of composite material comprising adding mixing graphene/silicon dioxide-polypyrrole composite material into waste water containing hexavalent chromium, vibrating, reacting at 25-45 degrees C, solid-liquid separating, and measuring concentration of residual hexavalent chromium ion.
