NOVELTY - Recycling graphite cathode of lithium ion battery to regenerate graphene comprises (1) taking out the graphite cathode of the lithium ion battery, adding into the solution for pre-expansion, and separating the copper foil and the graphite dispersion solution after full reaction, neutralizing the graphite dispersion solution, performing solid-liquid separation, pickling and drying to obtain black graphite, and (2) subjecting the black graphite to strong acid intercalation, oxidant oxidation, hydrolysis, solid-liquid separation, acid washing, drying, and expanding to obtain graphene. USE - The method is useful for recycling graphite cathode of lithium ion battery to regenerate graphene. ADVANTAGE - The recovered graphite has higher purity. The method: reduces battery pollution to the environment; saves resources; and increases the utilization rate and application range of recycled graphite.
