NOVELTY - Fiber-modified epoxy optical fiber adhesive comprises component (A) and component (B), where the component A comprises 50-80 pts. wt. bisphenol A epoxy resin, 50-80 pts. wt. phenolic epoxy resin, 5-10 pts. wt. reinforcing fiber, 5-10 pts. wt. toughening agent and 3-5 pts. wt. coupling agent. The component (B) comprises 10-20 pts. wt. active diluent, 5-10 pts. wt. curing agent and 5-10 pts. wt. accelerator. USE - Fiber-modified epoxy optical fiber adhesive. ADVANTAGE - The adhesive has low shrinkage, excellent bonding performance and long service life. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing the adhesive, involving (a) mixing and stirring bisphenol A epoxy resin, phenolic epoxy resin, toughening agent and coupling agent, adding reinforcing fiber and evenly stirring to obtain component (A), (b) mixing and stirring active diluent, curing agent and accelerator to obtain component (B), and (c) uniformly stirring and mixing component (A) and component (B) and performing defoaming treatment, where the bisphenol A epoxy resin comprises E51 or E44. The phenolic epoxy resin comprises F51 or F44. The reinforcing fiber comprises modified bamboo fiber. The toughening agent comprises epoxy-terminated liquid reactive nitrile rubber. The coupling agent comprises a silane coupling agent. The active diluent comprises a glycidyl ether active diluent. The curing agent comprises a polythiol curing agent. The accelerator comprises DMP-30 (2,4,6-tris(dimethylaminomethyl)phenol).
