▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - Manufacture of a thermally-reduced graphene oxide-polymer nanocomposite from graphene oxide and monomer(s) involves thermally-reducing graphene oxide to form thermally-reduced graphene oxide, and polymerizing monomer(s) in the presence of thermally-reduced graphene oxide to obtain nanocomposite. The monomers are polymerized when the oxygen content of the thermally-reduced graphene oxide is less than 15 wt.%. The thermal-reduction process and polymerization process are performed in the same reactor. USE - Manufacture of thermally-reduced graphene oxide-polymer nanocomposite for masterbatch (all claimed) used for preparing fuel barrier material for automotive application such as fuel tanks and pipes. ADVANTAGE - The method enables economical manufacture of thermally-reduced graphene oxide having improved mechanical, barrier and electrical properties. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) graphene material-polymer nanocomposite, which comprises less than 3 wt.% (preferably less than 2 wt.%) graphene material, and has a transversal resistivity of less than 105 with respect to reference nanocomposite obtained by in situ reduction of the graphene oxide and the polymerization of the polymer in presence of the graphene oxide; and (2) masterbatch, which comprises 3 wt.% (preferably 5-10 wt.%) thermally-reduced graphene oxide with respect to the total weight of the masterbatch.
