NOVELTY - Preparing activated carbon-graphene compound material comprises dispersing the graphene oxide material in water, adding activated carbon, stirring for 2-3 hours, slowly mixing, slowly adding sodium borohydride solution, refluxing at 80-120 degrees C for 3-5 hours and filtering. USE - The method is useful for preparing activated carbon-graphene compound material. ADVANTAGE - The method is simple and economical. The material adsorbs formaldehyde and lays a foundation for further research of graphene. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for testing formaldehyde adsorption, comprising an air flow method and a closed method, the air flow method is controlling the concentration of formaldehyde, and sieving the activated carbon-graphene compound material, placing the 50-70 meshes sieve material in a quartz tube, introducing formaldehyde into a quartz tube, and measuring the change in formaldehyde concentration before and after adsorption by gas chromatography.
